THE legendary Lou Reed has confirmed Palma as one of the locations of his European tour which kicks off on April 17.
Reed, who last performed on the island at the Alcudia Bullring in 1998, will be performing as part of the Alternatilla festival at the Teatro Principal in Palma on April 30.

Reed, who is the headline act of this year's festival in Majorca, will be accompanied by his Metal Machine Trio band.
The Palma gig is the only concert the former front man of The Velvet Underground is going to give in Spain during his European tour which will wind its way through the UK, France, Belgium and Norway.

This year's tour coincides with the remix and reedition of his highly acclaimed album Metal Machine Music which was first recorded in 1975, four years after he went solo and enjoyed huge success with Walk on the Wild Side.
