ANDRATX ANDRATX council are taking responsibility for the restoration of the fishermen's watch towers in Es Raco des Murter in the Port of Andratx. The Tourism and Heritage department has commissioned a study by municipal consultants to find out the current state of the towers and what needs to be done.


The councillor for this department, Katia Rouach, said that the council has already contacted the Coastal Control department, administered by central government to inform them of their intentions.

The council wants to reconstruct the two towers to for the residents of the port. They are two buildings constructed in the 1930s and used by fishermen for stock processing.
