CALVIA, ALCUDIA, IBIZA CALVIA Town Council yesterday took part in the presentation of a pioneering “clean beach” scheme in which several coastal municipalities presented their commitment to provide high quality services to beach users and to listen with great care to complaints. At the meeting attended by the regional Minister for the President's Office, Alberto Moragues, others declaring their support for the policy were representatives from Alucudia Town Council and the Ibizan coastal towns of Sant Antoni and Santa Eulalia. Moragues said he hoped that other municipalities would follow the lead of the pioneers. Specifically, the commitment declared that beach quality will be analysed by its accessibility, its cleanliness and hygiene, its lifeguard services, leisure facilities and safety policy.
