POLLENSA
DESPITE the cold, wet and windy weather, members of ESRA North turned out in reasonable numbers for their AGM at the Neighbourhood Association Rooms in Puerto Pollensa yesterday.

This was a very positive meeting, with members receiving reports on a large number of very successful events over the year, including the All Island Flower Show, a Sunday Funday for young children and their families, the Mediaeval Fayre which raised 3500€ for charity, the new and very successful Thursday Club, and lots more.

Add to this a very positive financial report, and the members had every right to be very optimistic about the year to come.
Thanks were given to Pam Dabney for her work in Member Support and for her initiative, The Thursday Club.
Chris Maynard was thanked for taking on the role of Secretary as well as being Membership Secretary, and Gill Osgood was thanked for taking on the role of Treasurer.

Allan Bunch also received the thanks of the members present for his production of a very successful monthly Newsletter.
Ro Bull outlined some of the plans for the coming year, including looking for a venue in Alcudia for the extension of The Thursday club.
Michael Booker, The President of ESRA, was present at the meeting, and before the meeting ended paid tribute to the way that Ro Bull had chaired ESRA North over the past year.

There are few organisations which in the current difficult financial climate can look to the coming year with such enthusiasm, but looking at the new ESRA North Committee, it is obvious that their dedication and the quality of their leadership will ensure that ESRA North will continue to thrive.
