ROYAL wedding fever does appear to have gripped Majorca with El Corte Inglés reporting yesterday that they have already received substantial interest in the copies of the engagement ring Prince William gave Kate Middleton.
The 2'200 euro copies are due to go on show and sale at the Palma department stores over the next few days.
Over a dozen confirmed reservations have already been taken with many more clients having expressed a keen desire to see the ring before purchasing one.
The ring is the same ring as Diana, the late Princess of Wales, wore in 1981.
It cost £30'000 at the time and is made from 14 diamonds encircling a sapphire.
