OFFICERS of the Balearic Homicide squad yesterday arrested a Senegalese man, described as “very dangerous” who last Saturday allegedly punched a member of the security forces. He already has a history of 17 previous detentions, nearly all of them for assault and robbery with violence. Police said that the arrest of the 34-year-old known as “Michael” took place at the home of one of his relatives after the Commissioner in Playa de Palma ordered his men to close in following a wave of violent crime in the area where the suspect lived. Investigations are however, continuing.
