STAFF REPORTER AT his monthly meeting with Palma City Council yesterday, Public Ombudsman, Miquel Llado, made the recommendation that street prostitution be banned and that local authorities take action to stop drug trafficking in bars.

Llado, speaking on the Complaints and Suggestions Committee, said that if his recommendation is followed, it will mean that the city will become a safer place where people can mix freely without families being exposed to the practices of prostitution and where the rights of citizens “have less chance of being infringed.”
