Palma.—Three women were seriously injured in a traffic accident along the Ses Salines to Colonia de Sant Jordi yesterday morning.
The crash, which involved two vehicles, a Ford Fiesta and an Audi A4, occurred at 11.40am and forced the emergency services to totally close the road for over an hour.

The Guardia Civil are investigating the cause of the near fatal accident but sources have already revealed that the road was wet and that the road is very narrow with dry stone walls on either side at the spot where the head-on accident took place.

In the Ford Fiesta were traveling a 48-year-old mother and her 25-year-old daughter.
The third victim was travelling alone in the Audi.
The mother and daughter were initially taken to Manacor Hospital but later transferred to Son Espases where all three were said to have been in a serious conditions last night. Yesterday, Civil Protection repeated its warning to drivers over the coming days when weather conditions are going to be dangerous for driving.
