TOP class international hotel group St Regis was proud to announce yesterday that it is now officially responsible for running what was formally known as the El Mardavall Hotel and Spa at Puerto Portals on Majorca.

The Arabella Starwood Hotels group which organised a presentation on the new hotel to European-wide media, have invested three million euros in the property for it to offer the maximum in comfort and service - only 14 hotels in the world operate to such high standards. Now renamed the St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca, the hotel will cater for the needs of Asian and American visitors to the Island. The St. Regis Mardavall now constitutes a completely redesigned hotel. The reception area is much larger and luxurious and all the restaurants have been refurbished - including the Aqua and Es Fum. The swimming pool bar has undergone major changes and the spa facilities - the heart of top quality service at St. Regis - have now become the ultimate experience. Last year, the hotel boasted a 67 percent occupancy rate with an average spend per client of 450 euros a day. Representatives from other St. Regis hotels attended a gala dinner there last night.
