MORE than 100 Scandinavian travel students will arrive in the Magalluf area to begin their training as holiday reps for the forthcoming season.
The trainees will visit all of Majorca's major attractions and learn about all aspects of the tourist industry before taking examinations, which will determine where in Europe they are placed for the coming season. The arrival of the trainees, who will be staying in hotels around the area, will be a major boost for trade in the resort. Spanish pensioners on government-subsidised winter holidays are also spending time in Magalluf and neighbouring Palmanova as the resort gears up for summer.
