ANOTHER life was lost on Majorca's roads yesterday, this time it was a 74-year-old German cyclist.
According to the police and ambulance services, the cyclist was knocked down by a motorcyclist as he tried to cross the Muro to Can Picafort road in the north east of the island.

The accident happened at 4pm some two kilometres outside the village of Muro. Ambulance sources said that the 74-year-old died at the scene as a result of the impact. The 23-tear-old motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries. Paramedics were at the scene rapidly but there was nothing that could have been done to have saved the German's life.
