THE credit crisis, fears of job security and low wages are leading to wedding plans in the Balearics being delayed or postponed.
According to a report released by the Family Policy Institute yesterday, it is here in the Balearics where people are getting married later than anywhere else in the country with the aforementioned three reasons being blamed.

Apparently, in the Balearics, the average age at which men are getting married has risen to 35 and while, on average, women are waiting until they are aged 31.

By contrast, in Andalucia, the average age at which men and women are getting married is 31 and 29 respectively.
However, it appears that more and more couples are opting to spend longer living together, mainly for financial reasons, before getting married.
