Calvia.—Mallorca Cricket Club has announced the date for their third annual Summer Fayre, so you might want to keep your diary free on Sunday 2nd June….. entrance free! This year the club is looking to create a quintessentially British event for the island's community.
The Majorca Daily Bulletin will be supporting the event in its 50th Jubilee Year and will be joining the local Calvia Council without whom it would be impossible to stage this unique family occasion. The cricket club have been planning what should be one of the highlights of the summer with event partners Globo Events for the past three months and they believe that the Summer Fayre will have something for all the family.

There will be an array of quality Bric-a-Brac stands and a variety of market stalls offering fresh and homemade goods and treats at the club ground to satisfy all tastes.

Food and drink
Also various food and drink outlets will be on hand to keep the hungry and thirsty happy, and this year the organisers have come up with a number of fantastic and fun innovations.

A Coconut Shy, Egg & Spoon races for the kids and a Tug O' War competition for both mums and dads and teams of friends! There will be a cricket “clinic” for children in the club net facilities and a Classic Car & Motorcycle Exhibition. In the next few weeks organisers will be announcing many other events and activities that will make the Summer Fayre a “must go” experience.

This year the Majorca Daily Bulletin will be sponsoring “The Great Bulletin Bake Off” (look out for details in your Bulletin!) and on another food theme there will be a “Ready Steady Cook” competition between some well-known island personalities.

On the stage during the afternoon the team from Radio One Mallorca will keep the fun going, with great music, dancing and singing; in fact something for everyone. With next weekend's hugely popular and iconic Europe Day leading the way, the early summer community activities are being “ramped up” considerably.

Fancy a cold Pimms?
Over the next few weeks check-out the Majorca Daily Bulletin for regular Summer Fayre updates and tune into Radio One Mallorca to keep yourself informed of the many other fun features that are being arranged for your enjoyment. Fancy a cold Pimm's and a delicious cup-cake?

The Mallorca Cricket Club Summer Fayre on Sunday 2nd June is definitely the place to be.
