TWO-THIRDS of UK holidaymakers want a “unique and personal” experience they can “explore at their own pace” according to YouGov research.
81percent of respondents said they liked to “potter around” on holiday and wanted a personal touch above a mass package experience.
Spending time with loved ones was a holiday priority for 80 percent of respondents and 64 percent were drawn to places that had more activities on offer. “The message consumers are giving us is that a holiday or short break is more than just a product, it's about reconnecting with family and friends, and that is why people want a personalised experience,” said Director of Marketing and Tourism, Chris Elliot.
