DRIVERS can expect hold ups on the Paseo Marítimo, in the lane leading into Palma, today, because of road works by EMAYA, the water board, the city council warned. EMAYA will be laying two sewage pipes in the neighbourhood of the Auditorium. Work, which is expected to last all day, will be done in two stages, so that it will not be necessary to close the lane completely. However, a council spokesman said that this would not prevent delays building up in what is one of the busiest thoroughfares in Palma. Delays can also be expected on the Palmanova-Andratx road (C-719) because of road works today.
Detours will be clearly marked and drivers are advised to proceed with caution.
