Green fashion show for Palma

THE world of fashion has long been linked with various causes, such as AIDS awareness, and now Palma Council is hoping to promote environmental awareness with a fashion show in the capital.

The council's environmental department yesterday announced details of the show, which will take place on June 5, World Environment Day, in Es Baluard.
The event is intended to raise awareness among Balearic residents about the environment and to persuade them to consume less water, use ecological products, recycle and, of course, dress in environmentally-friendly clothes. The show is also intended to promote clothing manufacturers that are respectful of the environment and human rights.
