CALA D'OR
LOCAL Police in Santanyi yesterday located an 82-year-old woman who had disappeared in Cala d'Or. She was apparently found safe and well at a local address, although she had sustained some bruising.
According to Emergency and Paramedic services, the woman had received a blow to the head but was conscious when she was found and was taken by ambulance to Manacor hospital. The elderly woman who the previous evening had made her way to the address where she was found yesterday morning, was in good spirits and relieved to be reunited with her family.
Search operations had been due to begin again at 9am yesterday morning but rescue services were stopped in their tracks by the news that the missing woman had been found. On Monday, a rescue helicopter, the Guardia Civil, Local Police, Fire Service, other Emergency teams and volunteers had joined forces in a huge search operation.
