MAJORCA´S RAILWAY IS WORKING

Staff reporter THE Majorca railway service set a new passenger record last month carrying a total 318.326 passengers - breaking the 300'000 barrier for the second consecutive month. The railway service is continuing with its expansion plan and the opening of new stations, the most recent being Sant Joan, and the passenger figures are proof that the railway is working. During the first five months of this year, 1.470.016 used the railway, 19 percent more than during the same period last year while for May alone, the year-on-year increase was 26 percent.
