THE clock in the city hall in Plaza Cort stopped on Sunday afternoon, and a specialist is now trying to get it started again.
The job is expected to take at least two days.
The clock is popularly known as En Figuera, after Pere J Figuera, who made its first bell in the 14th century. It was installed in a tower in Calle Victoria until 1863, since when it has adorned the front of city hall. People gather in the Plaza Cort to welcome in the New Year to the sound of En Figuera's chimes.
