Palma.—More than 90 percent of people in the Balearics show loyalty to the same establishments, either on a daily or weekly basis, a survey commissioned by large manufacturers and stores association “Promarca” reported yesterday.

The report, at a national level, said that the majority of shoppers valued supermarkets and other shops that were within a 5 or 10-minute walk, particularly if they sold items required on a daily baiss. In the Balearics, 22 percent taking part in the survey said that “variety” of products was important so that they had the opportunity to make the best selection. But even so, shoppers in the islands said that the place where they went to do most of their regular shopping didn't offer them all the items and brands which they sought.
