THE Real Golf de Bendinat will host the first tournament in the circuit organised by the Nuevo Futuro association on Saturday. The circuit, which will be played all over Spain, will end in Madrid on October 5. The stableford competition is to raise funds for a home for pregnant teenagers, who have nowhere to go.
The Bendinat tournament will start at 8am. From 10am, golfer Sonia Wunsch will host a clinic so that amateur players can test their skills against one of Spain's top players. There will be prizes for the scratch and senior categories, and for the first three in the men's and women's sections. Prizes include holidays and the star prize, to be awarded in Madrid, is a trip to Egypt for two with green fees included. At Bendinat, players and spectators will be able to enjoy various gastronomic specialities and wines, and there will also be a raffle for various prizes. Last year, the Nuevo Futuro tournament at Bendinat raised more than 4'000 euros.
