Palma.—The Minister for Tourism, vice-president of the Partido Popular and former Mayor of Calvia, Carlos Delgado, yesterday apologised for insulting the Guardia Civil earlier in the week over the report investigators drew up about his alleged involvement in the Radio Calvia corruption case.

The President of the Balearics, Jose Ramon Bauza and the Central Government Delegate to the Balearics, Teresa Palmer, had to both try and repair the damage caused by Delgado's comments and yesterday, the Minister finally apologised as well.

However, he may think he is back in the Guardia Civil's good books but the public accusation in the Radio Calvia case maintain that Delgado should be immediately implicated in the case.

According to the Municipal Socialist Group in Calvia, Delgado was pivotal in the alleged misappropriation of some 1.4 million euros of public funds through the municipal radio station.

Delgado's current press officer is also in the firing line as is the present PP Mayor of Calvia, Manuel Onievo and the last manager of the radio station.
