NEWSDESK A wasp apparently caused the driver of a lorry to collide with two cars parked up on the hard shoulder along the Palma to Inca motorway on Thursday afternoon.

One of vehicles had been involved in an accident with the central reservation, the other belonged to the driver's father who had been contacted and rushed to the scene to assist his daughter.

The Guardia Civil Traffic police were quick to also reach the scene and, while they were in the process of taking down the driver's details, the lorry ran over the emergency triangles and into the two vehicles. According to the driver, he lost control of the lorry because of a wasp in the cabin.
