THE National Police yesterday continued their search for four North Africans suspected of having been involved with the stabbing of a 28-year-old Majorcan in Porto Cristo after a concert last Sunday night.

According to Son Servera Local Police sources, an argument is believed to have broken out between the two parties over a girl who was accompanying the North Africans.

Apparently, the four men set about the 28-year-old, hit him in the head with a rock and stabbed him in the shoulder and leg before leaving him bleeding heavily on the floor of the small fishing and popular holiday resort.

The victim was given first aid treatment by members of the Local Police Coastal Unit before being rushed to Manacor Hospital.
The woman with the North Africans is from Manacor and was quickly identified however, the four North Africans were still being searched for yesterday evening. Fortunately, the victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, none of his vital organs were damaged. He was discharged from Manacor Hospital yesterday morning and is now helping police with their inquiries.
