PALMA
MAJORCA is being scouted as a possible location for new British television series from the makers of Channel 4's “A Place In The Sun”.
If you have recently relocated to the island from the UK to set up a new business or are thinking about the idea, then the Manchester-based Freeform Productions would like to hear from you.

Researcher Ross Proudfoot said yesterday “we're looking for enthusiastic and driven people ready to make the move this summer. “We would be particularly interested in hearing from people if they've already found a business to buy, but would like some extra help and advice in deciding if it is the right thing to do,” he explained. “Do you dream of being your own boss and running your own business? “Are you and your family planning to leave the United Kingdom and start a brand new life abroad? “The new television series is going to set out to help these people achieve their dreams without breaking the bank,” Proudfoot said. “A Place In The Sun” is presented by the estate agent and model Amanda Lamb and has become one of Channel 4's top programmes and Freeform hope that the new TV series will enjoy similar success.

HIGHS AND LOWS
Plans to make a series about the high and lows of living in Majorca during the credit crunch are still being discussed by leading TV producers in the United Kingdom.

A pilot episode has been shot featuring successes and failures on the island, those who have been beaten by the recession and those who have beaten the credit crunch, and the series idea is apparently into its final development.
