SINGLES CLUB GOES TO SEA

IF you're foot loose and fancy free, you missed a great day out on Sunday when 137 “singles” got together for a boat excursion and a day on the beach at playa des Caragol. From all different walks of life, the club members are united by the common denominator of not being married, although the reasons for the state of affairs might range from one extreme set of circumstances to another. All were highly enthusiastic about joining the “Love Boat”, a second event organised by travel agencies Viajes Majorica, Nueva Europa and Viatges Coanegra to give the unattached a chance to meet new people. The adventure started off at 9.30am from the Paseo Marítimo where the group “set sail” in the direction of play des Caragol. As in all such get-togethers, a little ice-breaking was needed and adequately supplied by entertainers Joan Pere and Joan Piza who, outlandishly dressed, used their quick repartee to keep a ripple of laughter running throughout the excursion.
