ONE section of the road which joins together Petra and Santa Margalida will be closed to all traffic tonight, according to the Council of Majorca yesterday. This road will be closed due to the Petra patron saint festival, Sant Praxedes, which takes place tonight in the town centre.
There will be fireworks on this night and for this reason the Council of Majorca will be closing the road from the old part of Petra up to the connection with the Inca and Manacor roads. This road will be close between 11.30pm until 1.15am on Friday.
This road closure will be well sign-posted and the detour roads will also have clearly visible signs.
The Council of Majorca recommends all drivers to take precaution when driving in this area tonight and also thank all drivers for their collaboration.
