THIS weekend, music, dance and delicious Spanish food await visitors at this year's Edinburgh “A Taste of Spain”, ensuring everyone will be whisked away for a few days to the UK's favourite holiday destination.

Several of the Spanish regions, in particular the Balearics, will be present to entice visitors with giveaways, tasty Spanish treats and exciting interactive activities.

Sports fans will have the chance to try out an impressive golf simulator from the islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote illustrating the wide range of golf courses available, and with World Cup fever in the air, World Freestyle Champion John Farnworth, will woo the crowds with his impressive football tricks.

Gran Canaria will offer guests a unique photo opportunity where stunning digital backgrounds will create a fantastic “wow” effect while the Balearics will show their cultural side with arts and crafts and jewellery exhibition from Formentera and bagpipe music by Xeremiers from Majorca.

The Bulletin will also be present with thousands of a Balearic tourism special newspaper being handed out highlighting all the new activities and attractions the islands offer. The Scottish event comes just as the school holidays have started and with plenty of last minute, late offers up for grabs, the tourism authorities hope that the promotional weekend will tempt visitors to come to the Balearics on holiday this year.

Earlier this year, the event was held in the centre of London and Liverpool and proved a huge success.
