PARIS SPARKS MAJORCA MEDIA FRENZY

By Humphrey Carter CELEBRITY queen Paris Hilton flew into a media frenzy at Palma airport when she and her entourage touched down in Majorca yesterday afternoon. Paris, accompanied by her close friends Kim Kardashain and model Caroline D'Amore, will be spending this weekend in Majorca promoting a new champagne in a can, Rich Prosecco, which is going to be throwing a giant beach party this afternoon to celebrate the new global promotional deal with the new Rich girl. Paris will also be using today's Summer 2006 party to promote her new single Stars are Blind. Once she has signed her new contract with Rich Prosecco at a luxury hotel, this afternoon, she will be performing the title track of her new album live on the special stage which has been built on the beach in front of the GESA building on Palma sea front. The beach party, which the organisers hope will be attended by over 100'000 people, gets underway at 1pm and runs right through into the night and will also feature top New York rapper Fatman Scoop and DJ Boy George who will be the big event's closing act before the celebration and partying moves on to Tito's. Over the past week, a stretch Humvee has been touring the island handing out flyers promoting today's party. The organisers hope it will be the biggest beach party of the year in Europe with the main event being when Paris Hilton and her dancers take to the stage tonight. Her single is unexpectedly doing well on the Billboard charts and Paris Hilton will release her self-titled album on August 22. Hilton's Stars Are Blind is currently No. 16 this week on the Billboard Pop 100 singles chart; its accompanying video is in rotation on MTV and VH1. Among the tracks on the Warner Bros. album is a cover of Rod Stewart's Da Ya Think I'm Sexy, whether she will perform that tonight remains to be seen!
