Palma.—Leading department store El Cortes Inglés has this week opened a new outlet in Palma's Club de Mar yacht club.
The idea is to specifically cater for the needs of the nautical industry, the crews and passengers.

The 120 square metre supermarket is stocked with all the necessary items a nautical tourist might need and is the third of its kind.
Last year, the department stores opened an office to cater for nautical tourists in the Port of Andratx and two months ago, opened a similar outlet in the newly extended Port Adriano.

Sources for El Cortes Inglés said yesterday that the initiative has been “very well received by the nautical sector.” Apparently, El Cortes Inglés, which is also significantly extending its commercial operations inside Palma airport, wants to increase its offer to the nautical sector and meet the demands of its clients.

The Club de Mar store not only stocks food items but will also order special produce while providing all the necessary services for sailors and their guests to get the very best out of Majorca.

It also offers a laundry service and car hire.
