GALABINA Vasileva, the 30 year old Bulgarian air hostess who was seriously injured when a lorry trailer fell on her and her friend in April, is still in Son Dureta hospital, three months after the accident
The accident claimed the life of her friend and work colleague.
Because of the accident the young woman had to have a leg amputated below the knee and suffered very serious injuries to the other leg. She has had several operations.

Just days after the accident, her boyfriend travelled to Majorca to be at her side in the hospital, helping her as much as he could. He explained that Galabina “is still traumatised and does not wish to talk about the accident. “If she tries to talk about it, she gets very agitated, starts to cry and it is very difficult to calm her”.
Galabina and her friend, Roslana Dineva, were waiting at a pedestrian crossing, opposite the Club de Mar in the Paseo Maritimo, for the lights to change so they could cross the road. A lorry driver, who later tested positive for alcohol and cocaine, took the bend on the road entering the Paseo Maritimo at a higher speed than the lorry could tolerate and the trailer being towed overturned and fell onto the two women. Roslana was killed instantly, crushed beneath the trailer.

Galabina's boyfriend added “From the little she has said about it, she only slightly remembers seeing a lorry, but nothing else”.
