TWO armed, masked men held up a bank branch in Cala Bona (Son Servera), tying up two of the bank clerks before fleeing with 60'000 euros.
The raid occurred at about 8.30am yesterday.
According to police sources, the men spoke English, but not fluently.
One was allegedly armed with a pistol, the other with a sawn-off shotgun.
After threatening the three employees, two men and a woman, they tied up two of them and locked them in the washroom, although the third remained free. None was injured. The two men then fled the premises, and according to eye witnesses, they drove off in a car.
The police were alerted and road blocks set up throughout the area.
