Man shoots himself in head in garage

A MAN aged about 80 allegedly shot himself in the head on the ramp leading into a garage in Calle Rodriguez de Arias (off Avda Argentina, Palma). The body was found by a neighbour who immediately called the police. He was lying in a pool of blood by a white car believed to be his own. His identity has not been released. At first it was thought that the man, of Greek origin but Spanish nationality, had been murdered and the gun put in his hands to fool the police.
However, according to the police report, further investigations ruled out this possibility.
The road was closed off for two hours while a judge visited the scene and the police carried out their investigations.
