AT a ceremony at Can Weyler in Palma on Wednesday evening, the Heritage Foundation made the first award of its gold medal to Can Prunera, the Modernist Museum in Soller.
The award was made by Joan Guaita, President of the Heritage Foundation to Pere A. Serra, Majorca Daily Bulletin publisher and the President of the Art Train Foundation who was the driving force behind the conversion of the 1930s property in Calle Lluna in Soller into an art museum.
Also awarded the same evening were three women for their contribution to Balearic cultural and professional life. They were the artist Euphrosyne Doxiadis, collectionist and art patron Yannick Vu, and businesswoman Margalida Magraner, the head of administration of the Majorca Daily Bulletin.
