Motorcyclist killed on Majorca

A young motorcyclist was killed yesterday morning in a traffic accident on the motorway which links Palma and Llucmajor.
Sources from the Ib-Salud 061 emergency service said that the young person's motorbike and another vehicle collided.
The accident happened at 4.56am on the above mentioned road on the side of the road going towards Palma, a little before coming to the Llucmajor industrial estate.
It is not yet known what caused the two vehicles to collide, but the impact caused the death of the motorcyclist. Two ambulances from the Ib-Salud 061 emergency service were called to the scene to assist those who were wounded.
However, the doctor with them could do nothing to save the life of the motorcyclist and could only confirm his death.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The Guardia Civil has opened a routine investigation into the cause of the accident.
