Despite the absence of guest of honour Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, the Conservative MP for the Cotswolds and a Vice-President of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists as well as the Head of the International Office who had to cut short his holiday in Majorca to fly back to London for Thursday’s debate on Syria in Parliament, members of Conservatives Abroad Majorca went ahead with the tapas and wine evening at Harry’s Bar in Portals Nous on Thursday evening. There was a good turn out and, while MPs debated Syria in the Commons, local Conservatives enjoyed a lively discussion about various topics in particular the 15-year voting rule, which Clifton-Brown is fighting to have abolished at the next general election and Syria.
