Between January and the end of July, 37.6 million toursists holidayed in Spain, 12.4 million were Spanish while the remaining 25.2 were from overseas and the expenses of international tourists visiting Spain reached 32.2 million during euros the first 7 months of 2013, representing an improvement of 6% over the same period in 2012, according to the Egatur Tourist Expenditure Survey, released by the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Tourism yesterday.

The average daily spend increased over the period by 2.1%, up to 108 euros, while the average total expenditure per tourist increased by 2%, up to 949 euros.
