Palma.—The resort, which will be the highest recognised standard in Spain, is now into its final phase of construction and yesterday, it was finally unveiled to the international media.

The Jumeirah Port Sóller Hotel & Spa is going to be the Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts' first development of its kind in Europe and will open its doors to the first clients in March next year.

Perched above the Port of Soller, the “Resorts” enjoys stunning views but it also employs the chain's “Jumeirah stay different” philosophy of delivering imaginative and exhilarating experiences in culturally connected environments and offering a thoughtful and generous service.

Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts are regarded as among the most luxurious and innovative in the world and have won numerous international travel and tourism awards.

The company was founded in 1997 with the aim to become a hospitality industry leader through establishing a world class portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts.

Building on this success, in 2004, the Jumeirah Group became a member of Dubai Holding - a collection of leading Dubai-based businesses and projects - in line with a new phase of growth and development for the Group which has its sights set on Majorca as its launch pad for its resorts in Europe.

The “Resorts” offers 120 bedrooms, and two giant suites, and all have extensive balconies and terraces with breath taking views across Soller.
The complex covers a total area of 18'000 square metres and is divided into 11 thre- story buildings which have all been designed to blend in with the surrounding environment and countryside.

Over 600 people have been involved in the construction process and as much of the material used as possible has been sourced locally.

The interior design has been taken care of by Peter Silling & Associates, which works closely with the Jumeirah chain across the world.
With plenty of spacious exterior areas to relax, the resort will boast two pools, one indoor, and a 2'200 square metre Talise Spa, the chain's very own spa brand.

And, ten local artists have been commissioned to put together a special Jumeirah Port Sóller Hotel & Spa collection of art, sculptures and photographs.
