STAFF REPORTER PRISON on Majorca awaited four drug smugglers yesterday whilst National Police expressed their satisfaction with simultaneous raids resulting in significant hauls of cocaine in both the Balearics and Valencia.

A police spokesman confirmed yesterday that the four who refused to give statements to a presiding judge yesterday, had been part of an organised ring aiming to smuggle 10 kilos of cocaine to “trading” outlets in the Majorcan city of Manacor. Police had been keeping a watch on the movements of the gang for three months. Meanwhile in Valencia, some 100 kilos of the drug has been seized by police.
