Last year Anna Wardley from Hampshire began a five island charity swim here in Majorca when she swam round Dragonera.

Palma.—And, at the end of last week, she completed her fourth charity swim becoming the first person to swim solo round the Isle of Wight for nearly 30 years.

Not only did she begin with a swim round Dragonera last year, she also returned to Majorca this year from training by swimming from Cabrera to Colonia Sant Jordi.

And now, Anna Wardley, 37, from Gosport, completed the 60-mile (96.6km) route from Ryde Sands.
