CANADIAN Darren Dunlop completed the grueling run from Alcudia to San Agustin to raise funds for the Fundacion Respiralia yesterday.
He set out on the near 70 kilometre run at 10am and reached the finish, at the Fundacion Respiralia's headquarters in San Agustin some nine hours later.

Dunlop was accompanied by the Guardia Civil, the Local Police and foundation van and an ambulance throughout the run in the event of an emergency or incident.

He was joined by scores of children for short distances along the route.
The Fundacion Respiralia was set up in 2006 to help improve the life of those suffering from Cystic Fibrosis and 32-year-old Dunlop embarked on yesterday's run to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

A gala dinner will be held next month to celebrate his achievement.
