THE National Police yesterday confirmed that 4'300'000 euros was found hidden in the ground under the Son Banya shanty town earlier this month.
As demolition teams continued knocking down parts of the site yesterday, the police announced that, as a result of the anti-drugs operation Musuraña which involved over 100 members of the force, 4'300'000 euros were uncovered as well as 8'000 dollars in cash and 7.5 kilos of jewellery. Police claim the jewellery was stolen and the money, the profits of drug trafficking.
