Citizens set to save cash with new bins

Palma.—Palma’s Municipal Waste and Water company, Emaya, announced yesterday, that they are hoping to save 700,000 euros every year and reduce the waste collection cost of every citizen by four percent with a new model of waste bins.

Eight hundred new bins with a capacity to hold 3.200 litres of waste each, the equivalent to 2.560,000 litres, will replace 2.092 old bins which can currently only hold 1000 litres each.
