SPAIN'S Ministry for Employment reported yesterday that the number of people out of work in the Balearics last month increased in all sectors of the workplace except the construction industry.
Figures joining dole queues in the Islands at the end of September rose by 3'267 in comparison to the previous month of August. The statistics represent an increase of 7.5 percent with absolute numbers of unemployed standing at 46'807.
Whereas the number out of work in the construction industry actually fell by 383 last month, the total unemployed in the Services sector rose as it similarly did in Industry, Agriculture, and in the grouping of people who have never yet had a job.
