YESTERDAY saw the launch of ESRA North's new venture, the “Thursday Club”.
The club had its first weekly meeting from 10.30 to 12.30 at the Neighbourhood (Vecinos) Rooms in Puerto Pollensa. A whole range of activities were on offer including a book “swap-shop”, a talking book scheme, help with Spanish documents, and a very active craft group who decided that their main activity over the coming weeks will be the making of a patchwork quilt.

There were also opportunities for some quiet activities including a game of chess or even just reading the daily papers.

There was the opportunity to have a cup of coffee and to talk with members of the ESRA North Committee.

Over 30 people attended the first meeting of The Thursday Club, and it looks like this will become a very popular activity. Over the coming months it is hoped to include talks and quizzes into the activities as well as card and board games.

Congratulations to ESRA North on yet another innovative project.
