STAFF REPORTER OVER 200 animal lovers took part in yesterday's World Animal Day march through Palma and the Centro Canino Internacional's 40th anniversary celebrations.

The British-founded animal shelter held a special birthday party in Ses Voltes which featured a number of local bands and, needless to say, scores of four-legged friends. The party went on well into the night and shelter President Juan Gil said he was very pleased with the turn out.
