84% of hotels will be closed by December

This Winter season is going to last six and a half months according to the Majorcan Hotel Federation with as many as 84.5 percent of hotels closing.

Palma.—However, for the time being it is not all doom and gloom with just over 40 percent of Majorca’s hotels, some seven percent more that last year, staying open until the end of this month to meet late demand.

But, come November, hotels will be closing up for the Winter in their masses, according to the President of the Majorcan Hotel Federation, Inmaculada de Benito yesterday.
