EL Corte Ingles's stand showing an intelligent house using domestic technology was the star of the show at the opening of the 5th MODEC Balearic Furniture and Decoration Show, which will be open until Sunday (October 29). Turning on the washing machine from your office via your mobile phone, or programming different atmospheres with lighting, music and the correct temperature are just a few of the possibilities offered by the intelligent home proposed by the interior decoration service Crea Hogar. Crea Hogar is a department of El Corte Ingles which attends to the interior design needs of clients for their homes.
According to the head of the firm's Integral Services department, Miguel Muñoz, the main advantages of this proposal are energy saving, via automatic control of lighting and heating, and security. This last aspect includes a safety barrier around the home, via cameras, infrared and ultrasonic sensors, alarms for possible leaks of gas and water or electricity short circuits, and for personal safety you could choose an alternative entrance so that, on using it, the house will know that its occupants are in danger.
