PALMA
A total of five people were injured in two traffic accidents in Palma yesterday.
Just after 2pm in calle Eusebio Estada where a motorcyclist was knocked down by a car.
The Local and national Police responded quickly with support from a team of paramedics.
The 60-year-old motorcyclist had suffered severe injuries to his legs, in particular a fractured knee and he was apparently worried that he may have to have it amputated.

The patient also began to suffer from breathing problems and, while being rushed to hospital, suffered a heart attack.
Last night he was in the intensive care wing of Son Dureta in a serious condition.
A full investigation has been opened to establish the cause of the accident which was witnessed by a number of passers by.
Only three-quarters-of-an-hour earlier, two vehicles were involved in a crash near the Can Blau roundbout in the La Soleded district of the capital.
The apparent cause of the accident was that one of the drivers ignored a give-way sign.
A total of four people were injured in the accident including a young Chinese child, who suffered a severe blow to the head, and all were being cared for in various Palma hospitals last night.

The Palma Local Police have opened an investigation into the accident which again was witnessed by scores of people, many of which could prove crucial to the investigation.
