Flight prices between Majorca and the mainland continue to concern  local ministers who yesterday decided to ask the government for new flight routes.

Palma.—Flight prices have been constantly on the rise over  the past year-and-a half, leaving the Balearic government  with little option but to ask central government  to contact the development department and come up with new public interest routes between the Balearics and the mainland, similar to the route  between Mahon in Minorca and Madrid. During a conference to present the new “2014 Promotional Plan” yesterday, president of the Balearic government Jose Ramon Bauza  admitted that something needs to change and fast.
